Nightlife in Bali usually starts around midnight. The crowds suddenly just pop up around 12:00 in the night and the ambience transforms into a wild night scene and parties after dark. Kuta and Legian have long been the centre for these activities, while Seminyak offers more sophisticated nightlife spots with new nightclubs and bars opening every month.
Kuta, Legian and Seminyak Area
One of the most famous attraction of Kuta and Legian area is the Nightlife. Along Jalan Legian to the beachfront, there are a lot of cheap wild clubs that offer great nightlife experiences with a wide range of music genres, from hiphop, house, electronic dance, to rock & heavy metal. Most clubs are pretty casual and don’t have any specific guidelines or dresscode. You’ll see a lot of Expats and Tourists wearing just a “Bintang” singlet with shorts and flip-flops.
World-renowned DJ’s frequently play at most of the venues around Seminyak. Along Jalan Petitenget / Kayu Aya lies more sophisticated and classy nightlife scenes, such as Ku De Ta, Potato Head, Hu’u Bar and Mint. People tend to go out for dinner late and then head out to the bars before hitting Clubs and having parties until sunrise. Most of the clubs here have dresscodes, so be forewarned, that flip flops and singlets may not be acceptable.
Other Areas in Bali
Nightlife tends not to go on beyond midnight in Ubud Area, but people here have their own way of having fun. Nightlife in Denpasar tends to draw local crowds, covering a wide range of Live Music as well. Adora is one such Club in the Sanur Area.
