Sanur, a bustling beachside area renowned for its beachside charm and bustling streets, attracts the international selection of artists and expatriate retirees that choose to call this area home.

Sanur a bustling beachside area renowned for its beachside charm and bustling streets, is located to the north east of the airport, approximately 25 minutes drive from both the airport and Kuta. Although not so long ago, Sanur would have been described as a small village, it has, over a period of many years, transformed into a bustling village with streets filled with café’s, restaurants and an incredible selection of shops, top hotels and art galleries. The area is often referred to as a beachside extension of Denpasar. This is in fact true, but once you have discovered the central area of Sanur you will understand that it does not have much in common with the Denpasar area. Sanur is characterised by its creative, slow moving pace which sees expats and visitors alike chose to wander the streets browsing in eclectic shops, rent bicycles with the sole aim of meandering slowly along the winding streets, or sit relaxing in a street-side coffee shop reading a book. It is precisely these qualities that attract the international selection of artists and expatriate retirees that choose to call this area home.
